HOW WE SUPPORT ANIMAL WELFARE CHARITIES & CAMPAIGN GROUPS

Helping others help animals

We are pleased to support the community of animal welfare and rights groups, who work tirelessly to advance animal interests. We count many animal groups amongst our members, who benefit from our legal journal and e-Magazine, legal updates and news and reduced-cost legal training packages.

The law as a driving force for animal welfare reform

Read this account from A-law's Legal Policy Director and barrister, Alan Bates, about how law can drive reform of animal welfare laws and act as a powerful tool to protect and advance animal interests.

Why animal welfare groups join A-law

'A great source of information and debate. The journal also provides a sense of community with other lawyers specialising in animal welfare law. We find the articles extremely helpful in our work in the animal welfare sector.' - Joanna Lodge, Cats Protection

Animal welfare charities and campaign groups can benefit from A-law membership, which includes a range of benefits including subscription to the Journal of Animal Law, reduced cost legal training, bespoke training packages and free advertisement of legal vacancies (including posts suitable for someone with a legal qualification) on the A-law website (subject to discretion).

A-law is also able to help signpost groups to the appropriate channels to find legal advice and assistance and will do so, wherever possible. Our dedicated team of volunteers may also be able to help with projects or campaigns requiring some legal skills or knowledge.
